Hungarian-Italian Treaty of 1927 on Friendship, Mediation, And Arbitration

signed on April 5 in Rome by Prime Minister I. Bethlen for Hungary and head of government B. Mussolini for Italy. The treaty was concluded for a period of ten years. Secret articles provided for the delivery of Italian weapons to Hungary and for mutual support for the aggressive plans of the two states. In accordance with its terms, the treaty was automatically extended in 1937 for the subsequent decade.
