Special Features:Built by hardware store owner Albert Gallatin in 1878, mansion becamethe official residence for California's governors in 1903 and was usedby all subsequent governors (13 in all) until 1967 when Ronald Reaganbecame the last governor to reside there. The mansion is an example ofSecond Empire-Italianate architecture and has more than 30 rooms.
