Indoor air quality

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, good indoor air quality includes the introduction and distribution of adequate ventilation air, control of airborne contaminants, and maintenance of acceptable temperature and relative humidity. According to ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) Standard 62-1989, indoor air quality is air in which there are no known contaminants at harmful concentrations as determined by cognizant authorities, and that a substantial majority (80 percent or more) of the people exposed do not express dissatisfaction.
