Iantarnyi

(until 1946, Pal’mniken), an urban-type settlement in Kaliningrad Oblast, RSFSR; under the jurisdiction of the Svetlogorsk city soviet. Iantarnyi is situated on the Baltic Sea, 40 km northwest of Kaliningrad. It has a railroad station. Industry is represented by an amber combine.
