Location:7 miles north of the town of Sussex via Route 23; or 4 miles south of Port Jervis, NY.
Facilities:50 tent campsites (no trailers), flush toilets, 2 group camps with pittoilets, 2 cabins, 1 group cabin, picnic areas, group picnic facilitieswith shelters, playgrounds, food concessions, cross-country ski center,ski rentals, multi-use trails, self-guided nature trail, bathhouse,boat launch, visitor center.
Activities:Camping, boating (electric motors only), canoeing, fishing, swimming,hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, iceskating, ice fishing, snowmobiling, special deer hunt (November), historical programs (seasonal),nature programs (year round).
Special Features:High Point Monument, dedicated to the memory of all war veterans, is220 feet high and is located 1,803 feet above sea level. The view fromthe top of the monument is a panorama of farmland and forest, hills andvalleys, in three states. A segment of the Appalachian National ScenicTrail passes through the park (see separate entry in national trailssection).
