Iarenga

a river in the Komi ASSR and Arkhangel’sk Oblast, RSFSR; a right tributary of the Vychegda of the Severnaia Dvina basin. The Iarenga is 281 km long and drains an area of 5,140 sq km. It is fed by various sources, but predominantly by snow; high water occurs from mid-April through June. The mean flow rate 23 km from the mouth is 48.8 cu m per sec. The Iarenga freezes over in October, and the ice breaks up in late April or the first half of May.
