Harassment charges by ex

My ex and I were friends after we broke up. Ever since she started with someone new we have been having problems. Her new girl friend has sent me an email, threatening to put harassment charges on me. I want to know if she really can. I do not drive by their house, I do not continuously call her, and I have never threatened either of them in any way what so ever. I admit, I tried to remain friends and in doing so, I have called here and there an I did send her a letter after a fight we had. My ex and I are no longer talking. I am concerned she will attempt to do this. We live very close to each other, and the big thing is, she is a police officer.

Answer

If she says not to call etc. then you should stop--but for any court to act the alleged "harassment" has to be ongoing.
