a virus of the Bunyamwera group of the genus Bunyavirus, and an agent of bunyavirus encephalitis.

Guaroa virus

A species of Orthobunyavirus isolated from 12 febrile patients in Colombia and the Brazilian Amazon, and from anophiline mosquitos in various regions in South America.
Clinical findings
Headache, myalgia, arthralgia, prostration and leukopenia.
