Hardangerfjorden

an inlet of the North Sea along the southwestern coast of Norway. Hardangerfjorden measures 172 km in length and as much as 7 km in width. The depth is 253 m at the entrance and as much as 891 m in the middle section. The fjord has high, rocky shores. Tides are semidiurnal, with a range of approximately 1 m.
