Gudamakreli

(Russian, Gudamakartsy), Georgians living in the basin of the Aragvi River along a lateral left-bank gorge (in a section of Dusheti Raion, Georgian SSR). The Gudamakreli speak Georgian; the believers among them are Christians. In the past they made up an ethnographic eastern Georgian mountaineer group with distinguishing features in their culture and everyday life.
