Grafton Notch State Park
Location:Bordering ME 26 between Upton and Newry.
Facilities:Picnic areas, trails, scenic road. Open May 15-October 15. A mainartery snowmobile trail, maintained by a local club, is open in winter.
Activities:Fishing, hiking, snowmobiling.
Special Features:Several hiking trails extend through this scenic area at the end of the Mahoosuc Range, including a segment of the Appalachian Trail (see separate entry in national trails section). Sights include Screw Auger Falls, Spruce Meadow, Mother Walker Falls, Old Speck Mountain, and Moose Cave.
