Grain Loader

Grain Loader

a continuous-operation machine for loading grain into vehicles, scooping grain, shaping bundles, and filling granaries. The main working elements of the grain loader are the feeder and the conveyor. The feeder feeds grain from the bundle to the conveyor, which lifts the grain to a height of up to 2.5 m. Grain loaders may be either self-propelled or mounted. By type of working elements grain loaders may be scraper, screw, or combined (with screw or plank feeders). In the USSR the ZPS-60 self-propelled scraper loaders are used extensively. The working elements of the ZPS-60 grain loader are run by a 7-kilowatt electric engine. Its capacity is 60 tons per hr, and its working speed 40 m per hr.
