Agul Belki

Agul Belki

 

mountain range in the central part of Vostochnyi Saian, located mainly in Irkutsk Oblast. The range is about 50 km long; its average height is about 2,000 m; and its highest point is 2,626 m.

The Agul Belki are composed of crystalline limestone, shale, and dolomite. The topography of the range is alpine. There are small glaciers. Rock deposits and mountain tundra predominate on the heights, and dark coniferous mountain taiga is found on the slopes and in the valleys.
