Horsley, Sir Victor Alexander Haden

Horsley, Sir Victor Alexander Haden,

1857–1916, English surgeon and neurologist. A specialist in surgery of the endocrine glands and the nervous system, he devised a noted operation for spinal-cord tumor. He wrote Functions of the Marginal Convolutions (1884) and, with others, Experiments upon the Functions of the Cerebral Cortex (1888) and Alcohol and the Human Body (1907).
