indirect placentography

indirect placentography

An obsolete technique for diagnosing placenta previa, which measures the space between the foetal head and the dome of the mother’s urinary bladder filled with radio-opaque material.
Indirect placentography was replaced by ultrasonography, either by transvaginal or transperineal approaches, the latter reportedly having the highest accuracy.
