A popular term for acute treatment by health professionals—e.g., matron, a senior sister, senior nurses, a senior physiotherapist and a senior occupational therapist experienced in acute care in a hospital environment—in the patient’s home instead of hospital for a limited time period.
Care provided
Oxygen, nebuliser, inhaler, IV antibiotics, blood and INR monitoring, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social care bridging or general monitoring.
