Hersh, Seymour Hersh, Seymour (Myron)(1937– ) journalist; born in Chicago. An aggressive, highly successful investigative reporter, who worked variously for the Associated Press, the New York Times, and the Atlantic Monthly, he played key roles in exposing evidence of the My Lai massacre in Vietnam, domestic spying by the Central Intelligence Agency, and other stories, winning a 1970 Pulitzer Prize and many other major awards. His books include The Price of Power (1983), a scathing portrait of Henry Kissinger. |
