Location:In Crawford County, 3 miles north of I-75 Exit 259 on M-93, northeast of Grayling.
Facilities:100 modern campsites, organization campground, rustic cabin, picnicarea and shelter, modern restrooms, trails, fishing piers, visitorcenter/museum (é).
Activities:Camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, wildlife observation, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park's principal feature is a 49-acre forest of Old Growth Pines, oneof the last remaining tracts of virgin pines in the Midwest. TheHartwick Pines Logging Museum (closed in winter) is located near thepark's Michigan Forest Visitor Center, which offers exhibits and displaysrelating to Michigan's forests.
