It has a mild purgative effect. The water is aerified and bottled. It is used in the treatment of chronic constipation, hemorrhoids, metabolic disturbances (especially those accompanied by obesity), and chronic inflammation of the liver and bile ducts. The Batalin waters are contraindicated in cases of malnutrition, anemia, and atony of the intestinal tract.
