Location:On the southern bank of the Illinois River, south from Marseilles and US 6, in northwestern Illinois.
Facilities:Tent and trailer campsites, including sites with electricity andsanitation service, youth camping area, picnic areas and shelters,playgrounds, restrooms, drinking water, concession stand, trails,baseball diamond, horseshoe pits, boat ramp, warming shelter.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, hiking, ice skating, sledding.
Special Features:Park features rustic Civilian Conservation Corps buildings andriverside picnic areas, offering both beautiful views and a sense ofhistory. The northern edge of the park is bordered by the Great Fallsof the Illinois River. In two miles, the river drops three feet,creating roaring rapids. The east end of the park was once the site ofa prestigious country club organized by WD Boyce, founder of the BoyScouts of America. The historic Illinois & Michigan Canal is lessthan one mile north of the park.
