gyroklystron

[‚jī·rə′klī‚strän] (electronics) A microwave tube which, like the gyrotron, is based on cyclotron resonance coupling between microwave fields and an electron beam in vacuum, but which employs two or more cavities, and in which electrons give up their energy to an alternating electric field in a circuit separate from the one that supports the field that bunches the electrons.
