Haulm Remover
Haulm Remover
a machine for cutting and pulverizing the tops of potato plants. It can be used for harvesting the haulm of beets and low feed crops (including vetch, clover, and beans). The rotating beater cuts, pulverizes, and throws the haulm into the spiral conveyor, which feeds it to the blower. The blade blower throws the mass through a tube into a bin from which it is carried by the scraper to a conveyor and into the means of transportation. All the working parts of the machine are set in motion by the power take-off shaft of the tractor. The haulm remover machine moves on two wheels. The UBD-3 machine manufactured in the USSR is used in conjunction with the Belarus tractor. The working velocity of the machine is 4–6 km per hour, and its output is up to 1.2 ha per hour.
