Location:32 miles northeast of El Paso on Ranch Road 2775.

Special Features:For centuries, Hueco Tanks has been a well-known landmark in this arid region of western Texas. Desert dwellers and travelers have long made use of the supply of rainwater trapped in the natural basins (huecos) among the rocks. The park also features caves and rock formations with pictographs, most notably more than 200 face designs or "masks" left by the prehistoric Jornada Mogollon culture. To protect the park's natural and cultural resources, visitation is limited.
