Location:20 miles west of Merced, 1 mile south of Highway 140 on Highway 165.

Activities:Fishing, wildlife watching.
Special Features:Park preserves one of the few intact examples of native grasslands onthe floor of the Central Valley. The park is part of the largerGrasslands Ecological Area (GEA), a 180,000-acre complex of federal,state, and private lands managed for wildlife habitat protection. TheGEA is the largest remaining contiguous block of wetlands inCalifornia. Several rare and endangered plant and animal speciesinhabit the park.
