Icarus Economy Icarus EconomyInformal; an economy that grows at an unsustainably fast pace, ultimately crashing. For example, an economy may grow at a healthy rate due to a bubble in one sector. When that bubble bursts, the economy as a whole suffers. The terms comes from the Greek story of Icarus, who made wings for himself but flew too close to the sun, which caused him to fall. |
