Hadamard's inequality[′had·ə‚märdz ‚in·ə¦kwäl·əd·ē] (mathematics) An inequality that gives an upper bound for the square of the absolute value of the determinant of a matrix in terms of the squares of the matrix entries; the upper bound is the product, over the rows of the matrix, of the sum of the squares of the absolute values of the entries in a row. |
