Imini-Tiouine
a mining center in Morocco, in Ouarzazate Province. Population, about 3,000 (1965). Between 100,000 and 200,000 tons of manganese ore are mined yearly. Four-fifths of the ore is metallurgical raw material, containing 50 percent manganese, and the other one-fifth is chemical raw material, containing about 92 percent manganese dioxide. The ore is mostly exported (from the port of Casablanca). [10–417-2 ]
