Huma Ho

a river in Northeast China, a right tributary of the Amur River. The Huma Ho is 435 km long and drains an area of 23,900 sq km. It rises in the spurs of the Greater Khingan Range and flows through mountainous and hilly areas of the taiga. The river is fed primarily by rain; high water occurs in the summer. The mean flow rate is approximately 130 cu m per sec. In the winter the river freezes over in some places. The Huma Ho is used for timber flotation.
