a deposit, produced by chromogenic bacteria, found on the cervicolabial portions of the teeth, usually in children.

(grēn stān) Such discoloration or deposit on the gingival half of the labial surfaces of the maxillary anterior teeth, usually in children. Caused by chromogenic bacteria or orally inhaling dust containing copper and nickel.
