Greenwalls GreenwallsA vertical planting system, vertical garden, plant wall, and/or vegetated wall, created by providing a planting substrate into a modular structural wall system. Most commonly used are tropical plants, vines, and ferns rooted into a modular panel system, with an integrated irrigation drip system and control, a catch basin to control the water runoff, and a structural support system. When air is circulated through a greenwall, it becomes an active bio-wall air-filtration system, breaking down harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and creating clean oxygen. Greenwalls keep buildings cooler in the summer and create a sound barrier. |
