Grekhova, Evdokiia Isaevna

 

Born Feb. 10 (23), 1907, in the village of Perfirovka, in present-day Kuibyshev Raion, Tatar ASSR. Innovator in agriculture; brigade leader in livestock raising on the Karavaevo Pure-strain Stock-breeding Kolkhoz in Kostroma Raion, Kostroma Oblast (1936–61). Twice Hero of Socialist Labor (1948, 1951). Member of the CPSU since 1941.

Grekhova worked as a milkmaid at the Karavaevo Kolkhoz during 1927–36. In 1947 she obtained an average yearly yield of 5.954 kg of milk from each of 16cows (214 kg of but-terfat); in 1948 she got 6,859 kg of milk from each of 24 cows (250 kg of butterfat); in 1949 she obtained 6.446 kg of milk from each of 58 cows (243 kg of butterfat); and in 1950 she obtained 7.178 kg of milk from each of 44 cows (264 kg of butterfat). In 1962 she was retired on pension. She was awarded five Orders of Lenin, the Order of the Badge of Honor, medals, and medals from the Ail-Union Agricultural Exhibition.
