Hejaz RiyalThe currency of the Hejaz from 1916 to 1925. It was introduced following the Hejaz' proclamation of independence from the Ottoman Empire. It was replaced at par by the Saudi riyal following Hussein bin Ali al-Hashemi's defeat by Ibn Saud. |
