Gribov, Vladimir Naumovich
Born Mar. 25, 1930, in Leningrad. Soviet physicist-theorist. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1972).
Gribov graduated from Leningrad State University in 1952. He was a staff member of the Physicotechnical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR from 1954 to 1971, when he became associated with the Leningrad Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. He was named a professor at Leningrad State University in 1968. Gribov’s principal works deal with particle physics.
Gribov has been awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor and various medals.
