Grobina

a city in Liepaja Raion, Latvian SSR. Located 11 km to the east of Liepaja. It has a canning factory and a logging and timber distribution establishment. The first historical record of Grobina dates to the middle of the 13th century; it has been a city since 1695. Ruins of a 13th-century castle have been preserved.
