Location:North central Idaho, 4 miles south of Lewiston on Snake River Avenue.
Facilities:93 campsites (including both standard sites and serviced sites withelectricity), group camping, cabins, camp store, picnic sites, groupshelter, playground, trails (including paved), marina with more than100 slips, public boat launch, convenience store, boat rentals, beach,volleyball area, interpretive center, gift shop.
Activities:Camping, swimming, fishing, boating, jet boat rides, hiking, horsebackriding, mountain biking, guided nature walks, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park is a gateway to Hells Canyon, the deepest river gorge in NorthAmerica, and jet boat excursions into the canyon leave on a regularbasis from the park's docks. The park is also a gateway to Lewis andClark country, and the Discovery Center at the park features indooreducational displays, a two-acre outdoor interpretive plaza along thebanks of the Snake River, and a film on the journey of Lewis and Clarkthrough Idaho. The park has a long season of warm weather, and it doesnot snow there in winter.
