[′hel·mət ¦mau̇nt·əd di′splā] (electronics) An electronic display that presents, on a combining glass within the visor of the helmet of a helicopter gunner, primary information for directing firepower; the angular direction of the helmet is sensed and used to control weapons to point in the same direction as the gunner is looking. Also known as visually coupled display.
