Ignalina

a city (since 1950), the administrative center of Ignalina Raion, Lithuanian SSR, situated among lakes. It has a railroad station 101 km northeast of Vilnius. Ignalina has a creamery. To the west are such lakes as Lusiai, Dringiai, and Asalnai; on the shore of Lake Lusiai is the settlement Paluse, which is a tourist center.
