Humboldt Redwoods State Park
Location:45 miles south of Eureka and 20 miles north of Garberville off ofHighway 101. The visitor center is located on the Avenue of the Giants,State Route 254, between the towns of Weott and Myers Flat.
Facilities:More than 250 developed family campsites as well as environmentalcamps, group camps, trail camps, and a horse camp, picnic areas, trails(100+ miles), boat ramps, restrooms, visitor center, exhibits (é).
Activities:Camping, fishing, swimming, boating, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, interpretive programs (seasonal).
Special Features:Park is California's largest redwood state park and includes theRockefeller Forest, the largest remaining contiguous old-growth coastredwood forest in the world. The Avenue of the Giants parallels 33miles of US 101 through the park, and is California's showplace for themagnificent coast redwoods.
