Hemicyclic Flower

Hemicyclic Flower

a flower, some parts of which are arranged in a spiral and others in circles that also make up a very compact spiral. In a hemicyclic flower the leaflets of the perianth are most often arranged in circles, and the stamens and’pistils are in a spiral. A hemicyclic flower is an indication of primitive plant structure; it is found primarily in plants of the most primitive families, such as the Magnoliaceae, the Ranunculaceae, and the Annonaceae.
