Innabi
an Azerbaijani folk dance, performed by girls and young women (solo or in pairs) at weddings, festivals, and parties for girls. It became a popular social dance at the beginning of the 20th century. The innabi is characterized by smooth, easy movements and by a moderately brisk tempo. Music accompanying the dance is in 6/8 or 3/4 time. The innabi is usually performed to the accompaniment of a sazandari (a folk instrumental ensemble), which consists of the tar, kemancha, and tambourine.
