Internatsional’Naia Literatura
(Internatsional Literature), a literary and political monthly journal of the Writers’ Union of the USSR, published in Moscow from 1933 through 1943. It was the successor to the journals Vestnik inostrannoi literatury (Foreign Literature Herald; 1928, 1929–30) and Literatura mirovoi revoliutsii (Literature of World Revolution; 1931–32).
Internatsional’naia literatura published the works of the world’s progressive modern writers, including R. Rolland, T. Mann, H. Mann, and E. Hemingway. Soviet and foreign critics and literary specialists contributed to its criticism section, and the journal reported on the Internatsional literary scene. It was also published in French, English, and German.
