John VennVenn, JohnBorn Aug. 4, 1834, near Hull; died Apr. 4, 1923, in Cambridge. English logician. He worked in the field of the logic of classes, into which he introduced a special formulation, Venn diagrams, which are used in the logical mathematical theory of “formal neuronic nets.” The substantiation of inverse operations in the logical calculus of G.
