Issyk-Ata
a balneological resort in the Kirghiz SSR, on the northern slope of the Kirghiz Range (altitude, approximately 1,775 m); located approximately 78 km from the city of Frunze.
The summer is moderately warm, with a mean July temperature of 16°C; autumn is clear and dry; and winter is mild, the January temperature averaging — 6°C. Annual precipitation is approximately 500 mm. Hot mineral water used for bathing and drinking has the following composition:
Mud baths are another form of therapy. The resort has a sanatorium, bathhouse, and mud-bath facility. Patients are treated for diseases of the motor and support organs and theperipheral nervous system and for digestive and gynecological disorders.
