Karsun

an urban-type settlement and center of Karsun Raion, Ul’ianovsk Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the Barysh River, a tributary of the Sura, 22 km northwest of the Veshkaima station (on the Ul’ianovsk-Inza railroad line). A hosiery factory and a creamery are located in Karsun. There is also a medical school in the settlement.
