Juliana Canal

(Julianakanaal), a navigation canal in the Netherlands, in Limburg Province. The canal branches out from the Meuse River, south of the city of Roermond. It flows along an unnavigable section of the Meuse to the area surrounding the city of Maastricht. The canal measures 34 km in length and admits vessels with a water displacement of up to 2,000 tons.
