Karymskoe

an urban-type settlement and center of Karymskoe Raion, Chita Oblast, RSFSR; located on the Ingoda River (in the Amur basin). It has a railroad station on the Trans-Siberian Railway, 100 km southeast of Chita. A line to Zabaikal’sk branches off from the Tarskaia station near Karymskoe. Population, 13, 000 (1970). Karymskoe has railroad transportation enterprises, a plant producing reinforced concreteitems, a plant producing electrical machinery, a brickyard, and a creamery.
