Kambarka
Kambarka
a city; administrative center of Kambarka Raion, Udmurt ASSR. The city is located on the Kambarka River (a tributary of the Kama). The port of Kambarka is in the settlement of Kama, 9 km from the city. Railroad station on the Kazan-Sverdlovsk line, 126 km southeast of Izhevsk. Kambarka has a metalworking plant and a machine-building plant producing diesel locomotives. There is also a machine-building technical school. Kambarka sprang up as a settlement in the second half of the 18th century, and became a city in 1945.
