Karamysh

a river in Saratov Qblast, RSFSR, with its upper course in Volgograd Oblast; a left tributary of the Medveditsa (the Don Basin). Length, 147 km; basin area, 3, 380 sq km. The Karamysh originates in and flows through the Volga Upland and is fed primarily by melting snow. Its waters are used for irrigation.
