Jaunpiebalga

an urban-type settlement in Cēsis Raion, Latvian SSR. Jaunpiebalga is located on the Gauja River. It has a railroad station (Piebalga) on the Riga-Pytalovo line, 136 km northeast of Riga. Industry is represented by a butter factory and a workshop of the Valmiera Furniture Factory. The J. Śudrabkalns and E. Darziņš Museum is located in the settlement.
