Kableshkov, Todor Lulchov
Born Jan. 1, 1851, in Koprivshtitsa; died circa June 3, 1876, in Gabrovo. Bulgarian revolutionary, one of the leaders of the April Uprising of 1876. The son of a tax collector.
Kableshkov received his elementary education in his home town and continued his studies in Plovdiv (1864–67) and the Constantinople Lycée (1868–71). In 1876 he headed the secret revolutionary committee that prepared the anti-Turk uprising in the town of Koprivshtitsa. With the suppression of the uprising, he was taken prisoner; unwilling to endure humiliation by the Turks, he committed suicide.
